oh soo loving the exclamation marks!!!!!! ATTA BOY!!!!!! BHAHAHAHAH!!!!! Thanks for the history .. I personally adore the classic Greek / Roman architectural styles ... gimme columns, Doris, Ionic, Corinthian ... don't care ... LOVE 'em!!!!! I think your capture and pov do justice to the designer(s) and lovers of this beauty!!!!!! That it was de-listed is a laugh ... goodness, bet that stirred up some bureaucratic and community-minded dust!!!!!

Lois, Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!this is Soldier Field in Chicago...the stadium was originally built in 1924 and had a classic Greco-Roman design with doric columns on both sides...this is where the Bears play...it was renovated in 2002 when the interior was replaced but the exterior columns remain...it looks like a space ship landed on Soldier Field...many call it the "Eyesore on the Lake Shore..."after the renovations, it was DE-Listed from the Registry of Historical Landmarks...that was the reason for my title, I tried to capture as much of the old stadium as possible in this shot without including the renovated areas...
